Well, Gringo Jack's Medium Hot Caliente, Baby! Salsa was certainly an experience. Not quite like other salsas I have tried in the past, this one was GREEN in appearance, with visible onions and pieces of peppers. At first, it was quite pleasant. I tasted a sweet flavor, and thought, "hey this isn't so bad". But then, WHAM! The spice and HEAT from the salsa really kicked in, and burned my tongue and my mouth!
Seeing as this was not exactly my cup of tea, I turned to another person who happens to be fond of hot and spicy things. At first he said it was "so runny", so he shook up the jar a bit, which seemed to help even out everything. He then tasted it with some chips, and seemed to enjoy it, saying it was "good", but it "looks weird". The taste seemed to be a winner, but the appearance and texture, not so much. He stated if it "wasn't so runny it would be better, otherwise it's good". He assigned it 5 stars for taste, 3 for texture.
So, although this may have been too spicy for my likings, it seems to be a hit if you like it hot!
