Ever since I started blogging I’ve become a serious lighting diva. More often than not I refrain from taking night time photos because the Rebella does not agree with artificial lighting. Case and point:
cereal, chocolate almond milk, almonds
banana nut vita with strawberry cheese cream, almond butter, almonds
Fun fact: I eat dessert every night without fail.
I’m also not incredibly crazy about outdoor lighting, as I find it tends to be slightly harsh. Though I’m pretty sure I can adjust the settings on my camera to compensate. Note to self: look for camera manual.

My signature food photography locale is a the window ledge in the living room which is unconveniently located behind the couch in my living room. Consequently, during my photoshoots, I tend to spill and stain the couch which has resulted in several disputes with the mamabear. Solution:
For some reason the fact that we keep towels on the couches so I can take pictures of my food on the windowsill really amuses me. Only in the PB&J household. I believe it’s worth it though, especially when it avails be the opportunity to capture the beauty of this chocolate covered orange smoothie.
- vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup vanilla almond breeze
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- packet of orange Emergen-C (key ingredient, obv)
- 1/2 tsp xanthan gum
- 1/2 tsp guar gum
topped with tooth-chopped dark chocolate almonds, sprinkle of coconut, and some orange juice.
The world needs more chocolate covered oranges.

- To all my bloggies out there: do you have a specific spot where you take your pictures?
- What’s your favorite thing to dip in chocolate? I’m a fan of strawberries, bananas, pineapple, my finger. Typical.
