I’m so siked y’all are as infatuated with coconut as I am. I got a ton of recommendations for coconut oil and coconut butter, so I will have to hop on those bandwagons asap, fa sho.
~~
Monday started off as any good morning should: with oatmeal.
whipped banana oats with milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, topped with banana slices and naturally more
**yawn** – pretty lame, no? My tastebuds were not stimulated, so reinforcements were called in. Enter: so delicious neopolitan ice cream sandwich.
This bowl went from 0 to 60 in a matter of minutes. It also went from my bowl to my stomach in a matter of seconds.
After the fact, I tuned in to one of my favorite yoga videos. Holy chaturangas, this flow is killer for zee arms. My triceps despise me right. I cooled down with a lovely walk around the hood and called it a day.
Snackage was necessary…
Danger zone.
I may or may not have munched on one [or twenty] more pretzels. If you’ve ever tried them, you understand. All portion control goes out the door.
So yeah, naturally more definitely made a dual appearance, as it often times does. Why?
- Because it has added flaxseed so I can get my omega-3s on
- Because It’s made with egg whites for added protein
- Because it has 4g of fiber (versus 2g in other lame peanut butters)
- Because it melts like a 15 year old girl watching Twilight.
- Because the taste is out of this world
Need I go on?
I also have the pleasure of eating it in mass quantities because the company was also kind enough to send me a few jars so I will continue to eat it until I demolish both of them. The job should be done by Friday at the latest.

For lunch I was craving something warm, comforting, and unaesthetically appealing. Split pea soup fit the bill on all accounts.
little soldiers
Though it certainly is the “ugly step sister” of soup, split pea is most definitely my favorite! Warms my belly and my soul.
What’s your favorite soup? I’ve actually been really inspired to try making my own, so any recipes are more than welcome Please and thank you!
Enjoy the day, friends!
