‘Morning muffins! How siked are you that it’s the last day of February?! How siked are you that I have a mere 4 days to endure before spring break? I can hear your excitement and enthusiasm from here.
There’s actually a pretty nasty thunderstorm brewing outside **shudders**, but if it’s a sign that spring is a’coming, I’ll take it.
This morning I awoke with a new optimistic attitude towards food, fitness, and life in general. For some reason the promise of a new week and new months just makes me feel so refreshed. And apparently craving chocolate…
[ the mix ]
- 1/4 cup TJ’s steel cut oats
- 1/2 cup coconut milk + 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 T flaxseed meal
- 2 T wheat germ
- 1/2 mooshed banana (do you say mooshed or mashed? or smooshed or smashed? I always wonder)
- banana slices
- Teddie’s PB
- TJ’s semi-sweet chocolate callet
Of course, the quintessential berries were consumed as well but they didn’t feel like looking pretty today – and either do I. Thus, why I’m pretty sure my face will go un make-up-ed and my pajamas will remain on. It’s just one of those days.
On the agenda for today = making my first reappearance at the gym (ack! I’m nervous!) cleaning the apartment and getting a head start on homework for the week. 4 days 4 days 4 days!
