I have a feeling this is going to be a great week. It certainly hasn’t disappointed thus far!
Breakfast:
- banana scrambles (I made a double batch with 1/2 cup oats, 2 TBSP wheat germ, 1 TBSP flaxseed meal, cinnamon, a banana, and a little under 1/2 cup milk)
- vanilla oikos
- blueberries
- raspberries
- whole wheat roll with peanut butter and jelly
for some reason this was so much more enjoyable than a regular bowl of oats, though it necessitated all of the same ingredients.
After breakfast I did some work, sweated, browsed the web mindlessly, and got a text from my lover Kara saying she had a little birthday-esque surprise for me! Being that my birthday isn’t until Friday, I was definitely surprised. Unfortunately, she’s not going to be around for the festivities this weekend (poor thing has to go home and get a brand spankin’ new car ) so she’s overcompensating by declaring this my birthday week and celebrating every day. Yeah, she’s basically as amazing as she sounds.
To kick off day #1 she gave me two RAD CDs, one of which featuring her singing Happy Birthday in some language that I can’t decipher.
A girl could get used to this birthday week thing

What else am I looking forward to this week? The TV lineup, of course. I’m so excited for the revival of all of my favorite shows!
Let’s see..
Monday:
- Pretty Little Liars
- I wish I still watched Gossip Girl
Tuesday:
- Glee (next week!)
- Teen Mom 2
Wedneday:
- My strange addiction (don’t judge met)
- I used to be fat (which Caitlin wrote an awesome review for here)
- American Idol
Thursday:
- Grey’s Anatomy
- Jersey Shore
- American Idol.
If my excessive TV viewing continues I may need to invest in one of these corner TV stands !
