Ian's Natural Foods Sour Apple & Cherry Crispy Fruit Snacks was a unique snack for sure. I don't think I ever had a "crispy" fruit snack, aside from actual pieces of freeze-dried fruit, before trying this product. I opened up the bag and was actually a little surprised. The pieces were in the shapes of rather tiny balls, some were red, and some were yellow. I did expect the red color assuming it would be the cherry flavor, but was a little taken aback to see that the other pieces were yellow. I was expecting more of a greenish color to perhaps represent the sour apple flavor. Either way, this snack actually was quite good. As a whole, it reminded me of a mixture between candy with the sweetness and a fruity-type cereal from the texture. Each piece was airy, and had quite a bit of a crunch to them. This particular flavor had a very good mixture of both sour and sweet, that were both evenly expressed. The sour apple flavor wasn't too sour, just the right amount of tartness, which they was accompanied by the right amount of sweetness from the cherry flavor. Overall, I can't say this is something I would eat everyday as a snack due to the lack of fiber and low protein content, but I did enjoy these. It was a nice, sweet change from my usual snack.
